Twitter Activity
On Twitter this week, I found a wealth of information pertaining to the topic I will be researching for my advocacy project – wild horse slaughter. The most valuable piece of information I found was that the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) is still taking action to stop this injustice towards our equine companions.
The best accounts I followed this week were @WildHorseEdu (which I gave a shout out in one of my latest tweets) and @defendhorsescan, as they both pertain to the topic I have the most interest in for research. However, I did find @SaveTheWaves and @BaselDec which both provide a large sum of information for saving impacted animal groups.
I retweeted a variety of tweets, mainly those providing news and videos about horses or people providing care to misfortunate animals. I responded to a lot of my colleagues’ tweets.
I think that my best original tweet has to be my shoutout for Wild Horse Education, since it will help a lot of my colleagues that are looking for articles for their advocacy projects.
For all of my colleagues reading: Check out my twitter (@jacob_moyai) for accounts to follow! Most of my recent tweets are shoutouts to valuable accounts for research!
Blog Responses
This week, I responded to the following persons’ blogs: Don Nguyen, Teresa Perez, and Jennifer Liu. Don discussed his own pets and the behavior of his dogs, which I related to, and commented on. Teresa shared a similar perspective to my own about the the state of Twitter; Twitter is unintuitive to new users, but over time, becomes easy and useful. My favorite of the three blogs I visited was Jennifer’s, since the layout and color palette was pleasing.
