ABOUT THE STUDENT

Jacob Moy is a first-year student at the University of California, Irvine. He is studying animal rights in his writing course taught by Professor Greg McClure. His topics of choice are equine social intelligence and the prevention of wild horse slaughter.

ABOUT THE COURSE

​

Writing 60 is a course that focuses on critical reading and rhetoric, through learning how to conduct research and utilize evidence. This winter quarter of 2023, our topic of research is Animal Science. Some of our most important outcomes are to: Craft substantive, motivated, and balanced arguments, as well as Learn to locate sources using a variety of tools, methods and databases.
