Initially, I was hesitant to even touch twitter at all. I have heard that twitter was mainly a place on the internet where people scream their opinion out to others, only to be ignored, or criticized for their beliefs. While I do still think that happens, I was pleasantly surprised with how helpful it can be for research. I think that @WildHorseEdu and @riseup4wldhorse will be very helpful in my research. As I am fairly passionate about horses and ensuring that they are not denied their rights, I think that my topic will be wild horse slaughter. These two accounts, along with many others, will be quintessential in furthering my research. I tweeted about horse meat exports by the United States, and various other statistics, news articles, videos about horse slaughter. I retweeted @AnimalsAsia and @RockyMtWild, to name a few. Animals Asia’s plight to save the bears is very noble and necessary! I learned a lot about the steps being taken worldwide to improve the wellbeing of animals. It gives me hope for the animal rights movement. I had no issues whatsoever navigating twitter. All in all, twitter was enjoyable, as was learning about animal activism!

Hey Jacob, I also had a similar view about twitter before actually setting up my own twitter account but now that I have, I'm also pleasantly surprised with how useful twitter can be for research.
